What is your focus and highlight for Excon in this edition?
We are delighted to participate in Excon for the second time, where we are showcasing our complete range of products, including the various types of self-loading mixers we have developed over the years. A key highlight of this edition is the first-ever unveiling in India of our horizontal cement silo — a high-value solution designed to work seamlessly with our mixers. This system significantly enhances productivity while offering substantial cost efficiencies and overall economic advantages for customers. The major highlight for us at this Excon is the launch of this horizontal cement silo.
How are your machines technologically advanced?
In the self-producing mixer segment, our products represent the highest standards of performance. This leadership is not driven by luxury add-ons, but by delivering on the core fundamentals – Productivity, Concrete quality, and Fuel Efficiency. Historically, the true value of self-producing mixers has not been fully realized or communicated to the market.
Traditionally, these machines were perceived as basic solutions meant for low-quality applications and were often excluded from government projects. However, globally, self- producing mixers are widely accepted and deployed in public infrastructure projects. Our machines are engineered to bridge this gap by combining operational convenience with the ability to consistently produce high-quality concrete that is comparable to output from certified batching plants. We assure our customers that the concrete produced by our self-producing mixers meets stringent quality standards and can be tested and certified anytime, anywhere.
India is a price-sensitive market. How do you balance quality and cost?
We aim to shift the conversation from upfront price to long-term value. Customers often focus solely on the initial cost of a machine, but the real comparison lies in the recurring benefits it delivers over its lifecycle. This machine will continue producing concrete reliably for another 15 years.
With FIORI Self Loading Mixers, customers achieve savings on every cubic meter of concrete produced. The initial marginal incremental cost is typically recovered within six months of operations. Thereafter, the machine delivers continuous cost savings throughout its operational life.
Our machines offer the lowest cost of solution in the market. Although the product price may be marginally higher, the concrete produced is the most economical-without compromising on quality. This value proposition has been proven globally, reflected in an exceptional customer retention rate of nearly 98 percent.
The product truly speaks 70 for itself. Designed with the customer at the core, our machines consistently outperform competitors in concrete quality, cost efficiency, fuel economy, consistency, and safety. Many customers have gone ahead with repeat purchase, which is an indication of the excellent value delivered by FIORI mixers.
If given an opportunity, what would you suggest to the Government of India?
I would urge the Government of India to revisit and update the quality standards for concrete produced using self-loading mixers. At present, approvals for certain projects are limited only to conventional batching plants. However, with advanced machines like the FIORI Self- Loading Mixer (SLM) now available in the market, we can, not only meet, but exceed the prescribed quality standards. In fact, the FIORI Mixers with superior batching & mixing technology, can produce high- grade concrete up to M60.
Concrete produced using our SLMS can match the quality achieved through traditional batching plants. I would strongly encourage the government to formally approve these machines and allow demonstrations to validate their performance.
